Vilitra 20 mg contains vardenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. Some people may notice symptoms that resemble a common cold after taking vardenafil, particularly nasal congestion or a stuffy nose. This can happen because PDE5 inhibitors such as vardenafil can affect blood vessels in the nasal passages.
Although nasal congestion is a recognized side effect, Vilitra 20 mg does not normally cause a viral cold or respiratory infection. Symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, fever, or body aches are more commonly associated with an infection or seasonal allergy rather than the medicine itself.
If nasal congestion occurs after taking Vilitra, the symptom is often mild and temporary. Drinking adequate fluids and avoiding known irritants may help. However, individuals should be cautious about taking additional cold or decongestant medicines without checking with a doctor or pharmacist, particularly if they have high blood pressure or cardiovascular conditions.
Other possible vardenafil side effects include headache, flushing, indigestion, dizziness, and back pain. Serious symptoms, including chest pain, sudden vision or hearing changes, severe allergic reactions, or an erection lasting more than four hours, require immediate medical attention.
If cold-like symptoms are severe, persistent, or accompanied by fever or breathing difficulties, medical advice should be sought to determine the underlying cause. Vilitra should be used only as directed by a qualified healthcare professional.  |
